Established on the 19th June 1983 with Divine Guidance and Blessings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. Aimed at achieving a noble objective, fostering of five cardinal human values, namely, Sathya (Truth), Dharma (Right Conduct), Shanti (Peace), Prema (Love) and Ahimsa (Non-violence) by the propagation of Bhagawan’s Divine Teachings via various publicaions spread over different media, Saisundaram has been relentlessly on the task with the Divinely ordained Mission over the past quarter century.

It made a modest beginning with a handful of books for the benefit of the visiting public. Over the years, the scope of activities increased substantially to meet the ever-increasing demand. The Trust took cognisance of the liking and aspirations of the public and the book stall started selling books dealing with a wide variety of aspects relating to spirituality and the teachings of Bhagawan.

Sri Sathya Sai Books and Publications Trust, or the Book Trust as it is often referred to, is headed by the Convener, as the chief functionary, managing day-to-day administration. The Trust’s activities range from printing and publishing of various books on Sai Literature, printing and publishing of the spiritual magazine Sanathana Sarathi in English and Telugu, production and sale of audio and video cassettes, CDs, DVDs, etc.

The Trust has a Publication Board to review and approve manuscripts and books for publication in English and Telugu, authored by prominent writers on various subjects like Sai Ideals and Philosophy, experiences of devotees, books meant for children, compilation of Bhagawan’s various works, etc. Several such books have been published by the Trust during the past two decades.

The Trust also undertakes the sale of publications in other Indian and Foreign languages after necessary review and approval. The Book Stall of the Trust has now in its shelves more than 1000 titles of Books providing Sai Literature in 14 Indian and 26 Foreign Languages.
